  • Sylvia - Robyn: good job. The new bathroom will be beautiful.

We are starting the process of fixing our office. So far very discouraging.
Home Depot gave us a bid that was outrageous and we didn’t like the plan.
Talked with a private contractor and he took us to a discounted cabinetry store. The store had cheap kitchen cabinetry and the contractor wanted to retrofit cabinets for file cabinets etc. Not impressed.

I will look forward to seeing your home and all of your creations. You just maybe the new Johanna Gaines.ReplyCancel

    • Robyn Van Dyke - Thank you, Sylvia! Hope you’re able to find what you’re looking for with your office renovations!!ReplyCancel

  • Behind The Scenes: Home Renovations » The Van Dykes Blog - […] Garage Makeover behind-the-scenes:+PINWe borrowed a metal grinder from a friend to get rid of some nails that were sticking out of the concrete before we could lay down the floor. And then laying down the floor and cutting the edges took a full day!+PINIt took another full day to build and mount up these cabinets and we worked long into the night!+PINMounting everything was also surprisingly slow-going since we had to lay out, measure, and level everything! But we did it! (Despite only having photos of Jordan, I did help!!!) See the garage reveal here!+PINMaster Bathroom Progress:+PINWho knew that demo day was SO dusty?! p.s. the old way of putting plaster over chicken wire and then putting tile up was insane! We are SO thankful we hired the demolition out! +PINThis is what the bathroom looks like now! Plumbing, electrical, and insulation is done! Now we are finishing up drywalling! (Also super dusty!) If you missed our bathroom before + design inspiration post, you can view it here! […]ReplyCancel

We’ve been in our fixer upper for 4 months now, and we’ve made much slower progress than we imagined. I initially thought sharing this whole process would be so exciting, but honestly, there hasn’t been a whole lot to share. Mostly we’ve just been trying to repair the damage to our home from the huge […]

  • Em - For really long (overnight) flights, those little disposable tooth brushing things as well as face wipes (like the Say Yes to Cucumbers ones!) are lifesavers! Also, that little eye mask is so cute!!ReplyCancel

    • Robyn Van Dyke - Both such great ideas, Em!! We will definitely have to add that to the list for longer flights!!ReplyCancel
