Last week was full of emotion as I said goodbye to my beloved piano students in Chapel Hill. By far the hardest part of moving has been saying goodbye to these sweet families. So much so that even after moving away a year ago, I’ve been commuting two hours one-way every week to continue teaching […]

  • Kelly Strawberry - I’m sure you were the best piano teacher!!! So sad reading this post because I know this likely means you will no longer be joining us at Articles Club! You were such a wonderful addition to our discussions. We missed you this week!

It definitely makes more sense to put your time and focus on your new life in Kinston. My commute to/from work is treacherous (not nearly as bas as yours) but about 2 hours per day total. That is over 20 days a year spent commuting! It is definitely something I wrestle with and pray about constantly. It steals my joy, which is so frustrating for me because I know there are people dealing with things much more stressful than a long commute.

Praying for you and for the friendships and new opportunities that await you and your husband!!ReplyCancel

    • Robyn Van Dyke - Thanks so much, Kelly! I’ll still try to make it to Articles Club though it may not be every month! Missed you too! ๐Ÿ™‚
Praying for you as well – commuting is definitely hard! I was so thankful to find a few really fun podcasts to listen to during my long drives! Let me know if you’d like some suggestions!ReplyCancel

  • Lisa - This is so beautiful, Robyn! I can only imagine the wonderful impact you’ve had on the lives of these kids, especially considering how much they’ve clearly meant to you. That doesn’t go unnoticed or unfelt! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

Summer officially begins this month and it’s hard to believe it’s been one full year since Jordan graduated and we began this crazy journey of moving away from our beloved Chapel Hill to a tiny town in Eastern NC! This month is going to be a bittersweet month, as I officially make […]
